2023 Founders GSM
Tasting Notes: Our 2023 GSM is a luscious red blend of Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre. Layers of raspberry, vine-ripe black cherry, and strawberry meld together beautifully. Hints of white pepper and cinnamon adds dimension. This wine offers a velvety mouthfeel and a long finish with a touch of vanilla.
Winemaking Notes: The Hahn Founder’s Series is sourced from vineyards which offer the grapes a cool climate and longer hangtime to develop flavor characteristics on the vine. For this wine, we destemmed the grapes from all three varieties into stainless steel tanks for fermentation. We pumped over the wine several times a day to extract the color and aromatics. After, we pressed the wine off the skins before aging with oak.
