2022 Appellation Series GSM

Tasting Notes: Our 2022 Appellation Series Grenache, Syrah and Mourvédre is a symphony of deep and tart berry layers. Aromas of lavender and white pepper echo on the palate with notes of cherry, blackberry and blueberry with a subtle ribbon of warm spice. The mouthfeel is velvety with a long, lingering finish.
Winemaking Notes: The Hahn Appellation Series is sourced from the Arroyo Seco appellation, which offers the grapes a cool climate and longer hangtime to develop flavor characteristics on the vine. For this wine, we destemmed the grapes from all three varieties into stainless steel tanks for fermentation. We pumped over the wine several times a day to extract the color and aromatics. After two weeks, we pressed the wine off the skins before aging with oak.
