Tasting Notes
Aromas of strawberry, cherry cola, warm baking spices and hints of leather and wet forest floor. On the palate, vibrant acidity is accompanied by a medium body, delicate velvety mouthfeel and flavors of ripe cherry, red berries and a touch of earthiness on the finish.

Once a cattle ranch, Hook Vineyard is the farthest south of Hahn’s estate vineyards in the Santa Lucia Highlands appellation. Although further from Monterey Bay, it is a cool site, ranging in elevation from 320 to 1,080 feet above sea level and featuring morning fog and windy afternoons during the growing season. With gently sloping hills and well-drained, alluvial soils, Hook Vineyard receives plenty of sun exposure that yields rich, opulent flavors in Pinot Noir.
