Tasting Notes
Red ruby in color, this blend opens in the glass with aromas of blackberry, strawberry and a hint of raspberry cream, white pepper and subtle baking spice. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied with great viscosity, layers of dark cherries, red fruits and notes of vanilla bean.

This estate grown GSM combines the richness and depth of the Santa Lucia Highlands while honoring the regal heritage of the Rhône blends. Both Syrah and Grenache are grown on our estate Hook vineyard. Harvested in cool mornings of mid-to-late October, the fruit was brought to the winery, crushed and destemmed. The juice was fermented on the skins for 2 weeks with manual pump overs twice a day to maximize color and flavor extraction. The wine was then pressed off and aged in small French oak barrels for 14 months. The composition of this wine is 69% Grenache, 29% Syrah and 2% Mourvèdre.
