Red ruby in color, the wine opens up in the glass with bursting aromas of strawberry and bright red fruit, followed by nuances of fresh cream and a hint of rose petals. Flavors of juicy strawberry, crushed cherry and delicate white pepper notes are further supported by soft tannins and balanced acidity on a lingering finish.

The farthest south of our four estate vineyards in the Santa Lucia Highlands, the Hook vineyard is the least affected by the cooling influence of winds from Monterey Bay. Warmer temperatures earlier in the afternoon and consistent sun exposure speed fruit ripening and yield rich, opulent flavors.
