This bottling is sourced from two small Riesling vineyard plantings in the Santa Lucia Highlands – Bianchi and Hook. Hook vineyard is home to one of the few small blocks of Riesling planted on our Estate. Riesling, like Pinot Noir, is highly influenced by the terroir of its planting site and excels in cool climates, such as Santa Lucia Highlands. After harvest, the grapes for this wine were gently pressed and the juice was racked into stainless steel tanks for fermentation. A small amount of residual sugar was purposefully left in the finished wine for enhancing the texture and balancing a note of tartness on the finish.
