We turned to superb Central Coast vineyards to grow the fruit for this Merlot. Most of the vineyards are located in Monterey County. After harvest, we age the wine in French oak barrels (45% new) to enhance mouthfeel and contribute dark chocolate and vanilla flavors.
Lovely aromas of black cherry, cassis and raspberry complement the soft grip of tannins on the palate. Flavors of plum meld with seductively dark chocolate and mocha. The finish is smooth and pleasing.
